Week of 3/28-4/1

This week in First Grade we are singing springtime and Easter songs! We got to "color eggs" together when we sang our song Dip an Egg. We also got to play some egg shakers along to our song Shakey, Shakey Eggs! Finally, we were able to spend a few minutes watching the end of "Peter Cottontail" and singing along with his song!

We also are learning about HALF NOTES and how they get 2 full beats! They are twice as long as a quarter note! We are doing lots of beat adding in music and we have noticed that music and math have a lot in common. We already know that rhythms are patterns, and form is a pattern too. We are doing a lot of adding to figure out how many beats are in our songs!
